Inc. Magazine Names Tammy Dowley-Blackman Group one of the Mid-Atlantic Region’s Fastest-Growing Private Companies

On February 28, 2023, Inc. magazine revealed that Tammy Dowley-Blackman Group, LLC is ranked No. 85 on its fourth annual Inc. 5000 Regionals: Mid-Atlantic list, the most prestigious ranking of the fastest-growing Mid-Atlantic private companies, based in the District of Columbia, Delaware, Maryland, North Carolina, Virginia, and West Virginia!

This regional list “represents a unique look at the most successful companies within the Mid-Atlantic economy’s most dynamic segment—its independent small businesses.” Showing a remarkable average growth rate of 381 percent across industries, between 2019 and 2021, these private companies added a combined total of 14,439 jobs and $2.66 billion to the Mid-Atlantic region’s economy.

Tammy Dowley-Blackman has spent almost two decades building companies focused on delivering innovative approaches to leadership and organizational development. Her company, Tammy Dowley-Blackman Group, LLC has partnered with scores of corporate, government, nonprofit, and philanthropic clients using her proprietary TDB Group Truss Framework™ to strengthen infrastructure and team capacity. In addition to her entrepreneurial experience, Tammy has served as the founding Director of a national fellowship program, as the Executive Director and Chief Development Officer for the affiliates of two national nonprofits, and as a professor and Senior Fellow at Cambridge College and Lesley University, as well as Boston University School of Management’s Institute for Nonprofit Management and Leadership. 

Tammy recently completed her six-year term as the president of the TSNE MissionWorks Board of Directors, where she led the $64 million-dollar organization through unprecedented

leadership and business model strategic alignment and planning. She also provides leadership as an Advisory Board member for the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum and was elected to the Proteus Fund Board of Directors in December 2021.
